  China played an important role in the early days of the Lions Clubs International, as the organisation was just starting to expand.   In 1926, China was the third nation to host a Lions club, after the United States and Canada.

      Charitable Foundations In my last post I said that there are many benefits of establishing our own charitable organization instead of paying money to overseas organisations. The obvious fact is that valuable money does not go out of our country.

  Why are we encouraging Malaysians to join International clubs such as Lions Clubs when we can set up our own charitable organisation? Why are we foolish to pay huge amounts of subscription fees overseas when we can establish our own Charitable organisations?
